New for '22! The City of Dunlap is holding their first-ever Oktoberfest on the same weekend as Cycle Sequatchie! See below for details:
FRIDAY Sept 30th
The party kicks off Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with a sprint contest on Church Street in front of the park where Cycle Sequatchie is held. Sprinters will race one at a time and will be clocked by the Dunlap Police Dept. The fastest speeds will be awarded prizes. Participation in the sprint contest is FREE and no registration is required. Just show up and take a turn!
We'll also have packet pick-up available at the park from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Oktoberfest festivities will start mid-afternoon at the park and go into the evening with live music, food trucks & beer! The party is open to everyone, but we're considering it a show of southern hospitality for our cyclists. Welcome to Sequatchie Valley y'all!
SATURDAY Oct 1st
As always, Cycle Sequatchie riders will be treated to an amazing farm-to-table meal along with fresh cider and craft beer, but as we wind down in the afternoon, Oktoberfest will be winding up, with more live music, a full selection of Oktoberfest beers, and brats & burgers on the grill! So plan to stick around after the ride as the party continues into the evening there at the park! (Bring your blankets & lawn chairs and make yourself at home there on the grassy lawn in front of the stage.)
Where's the Party?
Everything happens at Harris Park in downtown Dunlap, located at 209 Cedar St, Dunlap, TN 37327. The bike ride, the sprint contest, packet pickup and all of the Oktoberfest festivities are located in the same place there at the park.
